A whisper of love lingers
As steps sink and silence spies
Lips lay stone and hearts lay fallen
A tall white door divides
A Juliet and Romeo
The handle need only be touched
Turned, opened slow
To enter a dream

Rain sings, slicing trees
Grass is pelted and skin be cleaned
Words have packed up and left
Never to return again
Intertwining emerald blades
Sun crying tears that fade
The eyes need only look up
To enter a dream

Fears and tears consume
Bruises and stitches scar
Regrets lay broken and doomed
Hope and wish run far
The bridge is cracked and dying
There’s still a moment of time
A step need only be taken
To enter a dream

To chain and lock a past
To rearrange a destiny
A heart is needed
A mind is required
A spirit need be redeemed
To enter and compose
A dream
