Chandalier Night
As I escort my beautiful date through the glass doors
I smile at the greeting teacher
and say hello.
The chandeliers light up the room
and makes everything come to life.
The silverware reflects objects like a mirror.
The water glistens in the fancy clear cups
and the tile looks like it was recently furnished.
People walk from left to right
People dance throughout the night
Everybody’s minds are trapped in the wonderful night
Smiling, talking and laughter infect the room.
I become lost in the groove of the music.
The colorful lights beam at my face
blinding me like a flashing camera.
At the end of the night,
sadness is the first thing in mind.
Oh how I wish the night did not end
and that I can repeat it all over again.
