Lights fill the dark nights void
The Dark is merely mocked and is only annoyed
Darkness pierces every one of our souls
Although the Light keeps us in control

We walk on a fine line of Light
Swayed by the Dark's mere sight
We can go only forward, not back
Each step we take has a deafening smack

Creatures dwell in the dark abyss
Nasty creatures running amiss
In the dark they must stay
For in the Light they will decay

Light and Dark fills us all
We can rise or we can fall
Only time will tell which path we take
And hope it stays our choice to make

Every day we make this choice
And every day we must rejoice
Light and Dark will be forever
In each day and each endeavor
