The Day She Left.

The day she left,
Left me lifeless.

She said, "Don't worry!" I'll visit and call."

But its been four years.

Neither a visit or call passed by.

Should I mope around?
Be hopeless for the loss of my best friend?

I called up an old friend and vented to her
Now she's my best friend.

Thanks to the day she left.

The author's comments:
What inspired me to write this poem is that one day i sat and thought of my friends, and former best friends. Some stay in your life, and some leave. Some of mine left, but is newly replaced with others. I hope people learn from this is that friends are not always going to be there as they say, because they may not care as much as you think. So, choose the right friends and if you feel like you're becoming distant, prevent the gap from getting larger.
