The Sun

The sun is always watching over us,
like a magnificent father.
Perhaps, one day, I will find my very own.
Watch it rise, watch it set.
Eventually, however, the flames of the sun will fade,
and the shroud of night will cover the world.
Yet, before long, the dark will retreat,
and the cycle will begin anew.
