Love is...

Love is the thing with petals.
It grows inside itself,
In a dark, trembling corner.
Whispering delicate thoughts,
Upwards and outwards.
Giving commands, and making something bigger.
It unfolds unto itself,
weak and gasping for air.
Hanging on with shaking fingers,
till it hits a burst of strength,
an catapults strongly.
No fear, just courage.
The thing with petals
Blooms into a panorama of hope,
And desire.
For one another, and for the hardships of life.
