On a perfect day
I would sit outside
And watch for a way
That the weather would arrive

It can come by rain
It can come by hail
But joy I won’t gain
If the weather should fail

My choice is snow
All glittering and white
With its waiting glow
For a snowball fight

I would also delight
In thunder and booms
The flashes of light
That fills all my rooms

The clouds hide the sun
But can create sunsets
To which I would run
But the sun needs its rest

In the morning the sun returns
In a cold, clear sunrise
In colors that burn
And make me feel alive

But the most beautiful of all
With colors of six
Comes after a rainfall:
The rainbow’s colorful strips
