The Midnight Cruiser
I travel in the night,
Looking for the evil within people’s hearts.
I travel in the night,
seeing why people are suffering.
I travel in the night,
every single night,
to see what happens here,
and help people
with terrible problems,
that need to be fixed.
I fix these,
with instruments
that fill peoples hearts with gladness and joy.
I fix these,
with the same instruments
others use to blast ears.
I fix these,
these uncontrollable things,
with the instruments that let me live.
With the instruments that helped my mind.
With the instruments
which I play
take care of
and watch.
When I watch these instruments
being played or protecting them,
they watch me.
For no one can be without the other.
There can only be two.
