Just a Glance
It started out as a glance
Just one glance
for me to notice
how your dirty blond hair sweeps across your forehead
how your aqua blue eyes have little flecks of gold that make them even more perfect
how you always have a smile on your face
Not the fake kind
The kind that resembles pure joy
How you make my heart skip a beat
That same glance also showed
how you want nothing to do with me
how you seemed to avoid my glance when all i ever wanted was for you to look my way
It took only one glance
but sometimes one glance is all you need
