To sit back and watch peers,
As they work in the shadow of fears,

What is the dream of tomorrow,
Has become the nightmare of today,

What defined happiness,
Is the reason of depression,

The stress of tomorrow,
Has become the struggle of today,

The weight of expectations,
To great to withstand,

A sign of failure,
A sign of Relief,

Bring me out of the darkness,
And into the light,

No longer lost in a crowd,
I've found my own path

The author's comments:
I just feel as though not everyone fits into the status quote, we must each find our path to success. I came to this realization briefly before writing this piece and it's what inspired me to write it.
