It is dark at night with no one on the streets. As I come home from the basketball gym after my practice, my friend, David, and I drive on a secluded road with no one in sight. David dropped me off at my house and I see my aunt sprinting away into the darkness. I was unsure of what she was doing but without hesitation I chased after her. I tried to yell her name telling her to stop running but she didn’t respond. She sprinted straight into the street without even caring to look at the road. An oncoming car hit her from the right side. The car slammed on the brakes then ends up smashing in to a tree on the side of the road. I was surprised on what just happened and was frozen in place. The man driving the vehicle opened his door calmly and stepped out of his black pick up truck and asked if everyone alright. He took out his phone and started to call 911 and I sprinted back to my house. The cold air was drying out my throat as I ran full speed to my house. My parents met me at the door and asked, “What happened?” I told them that Aunt Sheney ran out of the door and was hit by a black pick up truck. My parents literally threw me into the car and drove 900 miles an hour to the scene of the accident. The ambulance was already investigating as we got out to see about Aunt Sheney. The ambulance attendants said that she was dead and told us that she appeared to have had a mental breakdown. I was in pair to see and know what happened in just a split second. I know that I will never forget this horrible, dark night.
