Freedom
As docile as
The gentlest wave,
Lapping up the shore
Knows no bounds
Not where it is going
Nor what it is for
With such liberty in
The path that it takes,
A single mind can merely boast
Ideas are new here, unrestrained by the coast
Above a flock of birds argue
In their native tongue
All soaring through the
Open air, strong and free
Not certain what their goal is,
Yet it is somehow all the same
Messages of means to arrive
What once was abundant and plentiful
Ideas are new here, inspired by the gulls
Below bobs a sailboat
Like a perfect cloud
It sheds no tears at all
With apathy comes contentment
With contentment comes peace
Like a sail in the wind,
You were born to be free
Ideas are new here,
But be weary for they may drift out to sea
