Music to My Ears
The sound of the bass
Tearing through your ears
The treble turned high
Soft words come out
Lights everywhere glowing and flashing
Crowd going wild
She hits her strings
Opens her mouth and meaningful words flow out
How I wish I could be here forever
She is such an inspiration,
Absolute music to my ears

Backstage
Butterflies fluttering through my stomach
Makeup artists getting me ready
Sparkly clothes put my earpiece in
I grab my guitar are rehearse
I look out into the crowd; I see nothing but people and lights
I start shaking and my mom calls to me 5 minutes
I practice voice exercises
I grab my mic and go out there
Everyone screaming and I play
I am just glad I have so many people supporting me; backstage

Wake Up
6:00 AM
BEEP BEEEP BEEEEP
The noise I hate hearing
After I hit snooze three more times, I finally get up
I smell pancakes
I hear my mom’s beautiful voice telling me good morning
Getting ready for the day
Splashing cool water on my face
Come down stairs
And I am ready for school

Pain
There is only so much of it we can handle
Until we break
Until we crumble
We try to fight it, and hold the tears back
Whether it is in your heart or physical
No one likes it and it is a horrible thought to think about
There is nothing worse than pain

Gossip
Hearing these hurtful words about yourself
Spreading going around the whole school
People asking if it is true
You are the talk of the school
People who you thought were your friends torture you
The light in the school turns to dark in the matter of 5 seconds
You begin to not only hate the people around you, but your rethinking liking yourself
Nothing to regret because you didn’t do anything wrong
It’s all made up stories from that girl who hates the world
Going home crying each day thinking of the things you could have done better
Kids are mean overall with all of the talk; the gossip
