Above It All
There is a rumble far away,
Animals running from a forest fire,
The thunder after the lightning
And the wax and the wane of the moon,
The inevitable and unstoppable tides upon the shores,
All that is left is me,
I am above it all, festering inside like a million fireworks ready to blow,
I am filled with bees but at the same time I am water,
I am chilling ice and arctic brine,
I will burn you up inside and at the same time smother the ashes
And lock away the embers.
