The Hidden

The secrets you tell,
the secrets you hide,
the deepest and darkest are trapped inside.
You feel the pain,
you feel the fear,
of the assumption that it's almost near.
You tell no one.
You think they know.
The problem is they'll never know.
It grows and grows,
like a cancer inside.
the day it bursts,
you know you'll cry.
No one should know it.
No one should care.
You can't ever show it.
It's always there
You know you should share it.
That's forbidden.
It stays that way.
It is the hidden.
