We thought we had made similar works of art
I spent every waking moment
Carving your name into a brick façade
You sketched mine down
In pencil
Onto a flimsy piece of paper
I made a statue of every nook and cranny of your body
Out of copper and wrought iron
You painted my face on a sheet of glass
In water color
