Lift Me Up, My Dear
You, my dear, are the only one who has the strength.
The strength to lift me up.
To lift me up when I've sunken to the bottom.
I might be at the bottom, but I steady everyone.
People are safe when I'm down here. They're happy.
With everyday that passes, my chain remains untouched.
Sometimes it's nice down here though, it's quiet.
I might be drowning, but I'm not near death.
It's different. I feel alive when people stay on my boat.
I feel like there's a purpose. I'm saving them.
For once, though, I would like to be on that boat.
I want someone who will be that anchor.
Someone to hold me in place, to keep my head from the clouds.
I don't want to be that dreamer anymore. It's unreal.
Lift me up, my dear, and get me off this seafloor.
