My Monster Within (Bulimia)
She gazes in its murky depths and can see the animal within.
A hungry monster, it holds her captive for a daily feeding.
She bows down to it, on her knees daily, still thinking that she's ahead.
Her distorted thinking has damned her to Hell
and that Hell has distorted her thoughts.
Once she gains the strength to come to her senses,
the grip of the monster is too strong.
It speaks to her through her own voice as part of the masquerade.
It's a constant battle between evil and evil,
and it's certain that evil will prevail.
The monster feeds on her insides which she tries frantically to fill.
Where before she could trade out the old stock for new,
she now has to let things stay where they lay,
so the monster is winning,
it's ahead,
and it no longer gives her her fix.
She used to gain clarity,
now all she gains is weight.
