What is Hate?

Hate.
It’s such a painful word.
It makes bad people out of good.
Leaving holes in your heart
Also in the hearts of others.
Hate.
It leaves you feeling dirty
Makes you turn into the person you don’t want to be.
Takes its toll on you and your mind.
But also on those that you say or think you hate.
Hate.
It’s such a detestable word.
Who would use such a word?
Especially when it hurts so many
Hate.
I hate to say it but I’m a hypocrite
I say it all the time
Towards myself and towards others
But I know that I shouldn't
