You're so beautiful with a body like hers
One step forward and two steps back
You're so smart, You're just like me
Don't flatter yourself, nobody's looking
The lies that become you in the most literal sense
Abandon you in the dark
Naked, with no identity
How does that feel?
I guess you tried to show me
What kind of monster are you?
Not a monster but a kid. Yes, a kid.
Playing pretend in your fake life, we're all toys
It's okay to break us, we're replaceable
Isn't that what you believe? On the inside?
The only thing that's on the inside.
Not this false pretense of morals or codes
It's a lie, You're a lie, Your face is a lie
It's no joke, it's true.
I read you like a book that's being burned.
Don't cry out, I can't hear you
I'm deaf to your madness
I think your tears are fiction,
You can't believe everything you read
But the flames grow higher
And you get smaller
Swallowed.
Then forgotten.
Don't go home, there is no home
It's just another lie
One that you built, then destroyed, then returned to
"Don't believe him!" I scream
But nobody listens, they never do
Not when you tell the truth
The truth is just another toy that can be broken and replaced,
Hate is a two faced snake,
And your reflection is an imposter.
I hope that he's kind tonight, the one that sleeps inside
Because he's the only one standing by you
