Sixteen
It never stays the same
Once, a mark of responsibility
A sign of Maturity
And Greatness.
Another, an excuse to join the army,
For romance, for the booming thunder
As shells beat across the floors of remembrance.
Maybe another time may be sixteen once older
As innovation swept past at a floppy pace
The bulk of everything meant to last.
Our sixteen, how will we present it?
The singing freedom of our people as we stand on this earth?
Or of the world within our hands, an ever changing tone of the millions?
And yet even now can never see how.
We have only started
To trap six within
Melodious sounds
