Name Changer
There was a boy.
He maet a girl.
They fell in love,
At first sight.
The boy asked the girl her name.
It was prettier than he ever would've dreamed.
She asked him his?
But he would'nt say.
So she persisted,
and made him tell.
He said it was nobody.
That's what his family calls him.
She laughed and called him a fool.
That's my middle name was his retort.
The girl was speechless.
She could only stare.
She had never met a boy like this.
A boy so content with such a life.
She asked him if he knew what love is.
He claimed he did, but had never recieved it.
He said it wasn't for him,
according to his parents.
The girl argued,
she said that love was for everyone.
Not for nobodys like him, the boy replied.
The girl once more was speechless.
She wanted to let him know that he WAS somebody.
That he WAS important.
That he DID deserve love.
But she couldn't find the words, so she just smiled.
But that smile spoke volumes to the boy.
No one had ever smiled like that at him before.
So in the curve of her mouth,
she had let him know all the words she couldn't seem to say.
The boy realized, he WAS somebody.
A person that WAS important.
And who DID deserve love.
He smiled back,
and it shone like a blazing sun.
He told the girl that he wanted to change his name.
And that she was the reason why.
