Trust is
not tangible
cannot be given
but must be earned
like a fragile vase
once broken
or shattered
all the pieces
may not be restored
some will be destroyed
and others too small
to be found
Trust is
a promise
to be faithful
to never cause pain
prevents suspicion
and brings a person love
Trust is
like a beating heart
pumps warmth
shows love and happiness
but once stabbed
cannot be healed
can only be drained
of what I felt for you
Trust is
what I thought I gave you
