The Girl on the Cover
Wanting to be perfect, the girl on the cover
The makeup, the polish, the luminescent hair, the look that makes me hover
Into the book I read and read
Hoping one day I will portray
Portray the look she has
I see her as perfection, someone every guy wants
Yearning to be perfect, the girl on the cover
The waist, the thighs, the curvy figure are very opposite of me
I want to change and change
Does this seem so strange?
Strange to want the look she has
She seems full of courage, the personality I want
Wanting to be perfect, the girl on the cover
The eyes, the nose, the flawless skin that makes her seem a lover
I think and think
Is she really who I want to be, the very opposite of me?
Think about the look she has
I am me, the person I want to be
