Then and Now
We used to talk all day, everyday,
Now we don't.
You used to hold me close no matter what,
Now that can't happen.
We used to kiss with a fire that made us both want it again,
Now we don't even look at each other.
We used to say "I love you" all the time,
Now we can't even speak.
The end came so sudden we weren't expecting it.
It came down like a ton of bricks,
And with a force we couldn't break.
Now we just try to live our lives,
Both of us knowing moving on is an impossible,
Ever since we fell in love.
