Ordinarily Unique
I sit on my door steps as I watch the cool kids walk by
Dressing with the brand new kicks and clothes
With their cliques looking all nice and fly
But I look at myself; I’m not like them bros
Why am I so plain boring and ordinary I ask myself
Is it cuz I’m poor and not rich or what else could it be?
My dad would say why don’t you just be yourself?
Myself? What’s so special about me?
Your unique
I don’t want to be unique I wanna be like them
I’m just another freak
I hate who I really am
Be thankful for who you are and not for what you have
I sit there alone thinking about everything he tells me
Maybe he’s right maybe its not about what I have
Now I understand and see
I see the real purpose in my life
And to find what I seek
And I think it should be the same in everyone’s daily life
And that is to be unique.
