Wood in the Fire
A tree
Strong and Free
Soon cut into pieces and sitting in a living room
Confused and hurt
Blinded by the light of the fire
Unaware of what is to come.
Placed on the beautiful fire
Immediate burn
Goes up in flames
Pain
Uncontrollable Pain
starts to wither
realizes things with never be the same.
Feels one last breath of cool air
Until completely in flames
slowly, very slowly turns to ash.
You have thrown me in the fire
There is no way out.
Nothing will ever be the same,
And it is all because you wanted warmth.
