The Door to December
I can’t forget when your eyes met mine. I think about it all the time. Your voice doesn’t leave my mind. You’re in control like the moon in the night. The way a leaf leaves its tree is the way you left me. I don’t remember wanting to cry or to wanting to die, but I know I couldn’t breathe. I was drowning in the ocean, in your eyes full of sea. A ghost of our memory is watching my dreams. And you can say what you want, but you’ll think of me.
