Page Poem
Life is not perfect
I wake up, go to school
Do my work like all the others
Go home, eat, go to bed
But I have much more to me
I don't bottle up my emotions
They flow out of me like a song
I'm only sixteen
Born in Toledo but lived in the smallest town
I do not know much yet
But I know what love is
When you lose that one person
But fight for them in the end
When after months of fighting constantly
They still manage to give you butterflies and
make you weak in the knees
They make you smile and they make you cry
But when you cry, it's out of laughter
It's out of happiness, sadness, but most importantly
Love
It's the simple thing that brings two people
Together in unity
Love will never escape you
Because without love what would we be?
We would not be human
We would be lonely
Love is everywhere, all around us
All you need is love
