Shunned and Its Results
There’s one thing you should know
It’s key and it will show…
Show you the pain someone’s in
Why they sometimes don’t care if they sin.
Why sometimes someone gets real jumpy
Or they try real hard to be funny
Why someone can be that annoying person.
The one who makes you start curesen.
But there are things you must pay attention to.
There gone for some excuse.
They can’t explain at all.
But you let it roll like a ball.
They never look in your eyes really.
Always looking down or side or all gittery
But you’re not paying attention
Sometimes they’re real pestern.
They try to force themselves as friends,
It just makes you want it to end.
Another thing is there always ‘happy’,
They’re never feeling crappy.
But you really don’t care,
Because you never had your share
Of feeling hated and left alone
You were never shown…
What it’s like to be shunned
How it makes you feel less some.
How you don’t feel love.
You just feel that shove.
That’s why they act that way.
No matter what they say.
There just people in pain.
All there trying to do is stay sain.
But that’s hard being shunned
Because you’re very lonesome
It’s not the greatest thing.
It makes the ones who sing,
Even the ones who were the best,
The one that was better off than the rest,
The one who had all the toys,
But people were always coy
The boy who had that stupid grin,
When he was that age he didn’t know sin,
But it got him jumped every day.
Got to a point where it didn’t matter what he had to say.
He just became a joke.
No one listened to him when he spoke.
It got bad when girls where involved,
He thought having a girlfriend would have all his problems solved,
But they were no better,
They ignored his letters.
Or some would be nice,
But then treat him as if he were lice,
But then there’s the worse of the worse.
It still makes him curse.
The ones who presented to have love,
The ones who would pretend not to shove,
Were the ones, who lied to him,
They practically threw him in a garbage bin.
Your probably wondering how he felt,
The anger, sadness and pain that was dealt,
He in the end tried to take his life.
In his hands he held a knife.
Or he had a bunch of pills.
Something to take away that pain that kills.
He felt he deserved to go to Hell.
He gave up and went in a shell.
Nothing would kill him.
So he went to the tool bin,
Grabbed a box cutter,
Now looking back at it he shutters.
But he was desperate and hurting,
Nothing in his heart was stirring,
He became dead inside.
I personally know this is no lie,
I’ve seen it myself,
I’ve seen someone grab a knife from the shelf.
So you’re probably wondering how I know,
Maybe this is all a show.
Two things I will say.
First give that shunned person the time of day.
Make him or her feel special in any way.
But most importantly make sure they’re okay.
The final thing I want to say…
… I was that boy… the one never given the time of day.
