Untitled
We're beautiful and brilliant.
Some call us vulgar and insane.
They can't feel the rush we feel,
The thrill of air in our lungs,
The excitement of wind on our faces,
The daze of stars in our eyes.
This is our time and we know best,
They can never hold us back.
We will run until we reach the sea,
Craving for more adventure,
Shouting at the sky to reveal its secrets,
Discussing philosophy with the clouds and poetry with the planets.
We'll dance in the desert sunrise,
Laughing at the perfection of everything.
We'll tell our secrets to the earth and lay our dreams in our footprints.
Rejoicing in the midnight rain,
We'll bathe our bodies in lakes of diamond.
We'll live forever in youth,
Chasing the sun to the horizon each day.
But when age shatters our illusions and darkens our golden brows,
We will slip into the sky and look down at our bodies from the stars, Our old friends,
Calling out to the youths of tomorrow.
