Don't fear the unknown,
Don't attack what you don't understand.

You haven't seen what's behind a plastic smile,
and you'll never know the secrets that lie within.

Your words are spears
digging past the surface into a world of truths
they lodge in the heart

Tread lightly, for you never know
of the mine fields of emotion
that blow up beneath your harsh words

It isn't funny, it's not a joke
laughter is only kindling for the bonfire of hatred
sparks every act of wrongdoing

They may forgive, but they'll never forget
You branded hurt onto their hearts
scars forevermore

Crying eyes, broken smiles, crushed hearts
rushing sorrow like a waterfall
lake of indifference

To stand and watch, unscathed and uncaring
is to be a coward in body and in mind
you're the biggest bully of them all.

Don't fear the unknown,
don't attack what you don't understand
You're not impervious to those words, they shook your life too

Make the choice
to make a change and
Take a stand.
