Two birds of a feather,
Always stay together
Cross miles of sea,
Parted though they may be
Not so far apart,
In regards to the heart

Distance is nothing,
It only brings them closer
Time refreshes their love,
The love of two a dove

Days turn into weeks,
And weeks into months
Each day pining for the other,
Shared pain between each lover
“I can hardly remember after all this time,
The feeling of his wing in mine”

But their love is real,
It still makes them feel
And the reunion of the two,
Made the most beautiful coo

I wrote this while my friend was out of the country for a month. It gave me the idea of two lovers being separated by the sea.
