Lest We Forget
Lest we forget the men that died
Lest we forget the women that cried
Lest we forget the children that prayed
For their fathers to come home and love them that day
Lest we forget the teens that laid
Amongst the rubble that some mad men made
Lest we forget when the terrorist came
Lest we forget Bin Laden’s Name
Lest we forget when the towers fell
Lest we forget when New York was like hell
Lest we forget the church’s that Sunday
Where people gathered, to God they did pray
Lest we forget the lives that were lost
Souls slipping into eternity, their bodies to dust
Lest we forget our nations response
To the attacks on our freedom, pray to God it will only happen once
Lest we forget September 11th
Always Remember
That freedom is not free
Lest we forget and lose our liberty
Lest we forget, America
Lest we forget!
