Head and Heart

The sound of the waves
Beating on the shore colliding with my heartbeat
Just like the battle between head and heart

Always colliding
Always differing

The waves begin to pound harder
As I make my way
Down the sandy shore
Swirling and crashing
Like my thoughts

Always in motion
Always jumbled

The sky turns black
As the storm approaches
As you approach me
I should be like the animals
Flying or scurrying away

But I can't

We are like head and heart
The waves and shore
Always colliding , always differing
But useless without the other

Always apart
Always together

My inspiration is a person you can't live without out, but you find it difficult to live with. I hope people understand and appreciate these relationships because not everyone gets the chance to experience them.

MMMM GURL ! Do you know how to right a poem or what ? But seriously i love your poems and the way they flow so smoothly and touch something inside someone that many didn't even know existed.
