We had to give a presentation
On how alcohol damages the liver
And corrupts the mind but
From the outside looking in
I saw them pour teenage
Abandon into their bodies as if
All the loud music and drunken
Sex could fill the cistern of their
Loneliness.

And I hate to admit it but
I am very lonely too.
