We Live in the Past
It’s weird to think about.
Like the ocean, the ocean we’re seeing, is the same one that was there one hundred years ago.
And the hundred before that.
And the hundred before that.
And yet while the ancient ocean moves in it’s habitual way as it has for many years, new, foreign things are becoming each and every day.
Roads are being built, houses are being constructed.. human life is moving forward whilst still living along side the beauties that have seen hundreds upon hundreds of years.
It’s like when you walk into a new house and the owner brought along the old, stained floral-patterned couch; next to the new hardwood floors and flawlessly painted walls, it stands out.
Yet at the same time it lives in harmony with it’s environment.
It’s a beautiful thing to think about, really.
We’re all young when faced with a world that has seen a few billion years.
It’s beautiful.
