It was the summer
Of endless nights
We went to the beach
Under the bright city lights
She was my girl
But for only 12 hours
Because it was only tonight
That I’d have the privilege to have her
We were the closest of friends
We shared everything
Together forever
Never Ashamed
The world was ours
Nothing could stops us
There was no tomorrow
We were carefree and tough
Two 5 dollar bills
Is all that we needed
To have the time of our lives
Expectations exceeded
Arms slung ‘round each other
It couldn’t get better
Life was the word
That kept us together
