You’re so pale I can see
The bruised blue of your veins
Staining your stark-white arms.
What is it like?
Knowing your blood is gone
On its way to a stranger
A nameless face
To mingle with their cells
Rush through their veins and
Beat inside their heart.
You saved someone’s life today
And I can’t help but feel that
You’ll be closer to them
Than you’ll ever be with me.

I write because it silences the voices in my head.

This is so inspiring in a simple and beautiful way.  The Blood Moible should have this pasted on their walls, their signs...  It should be posted on their website.  What an intimate observation.  I absolutely love this.
