The Introvert
You are a lazy caterpillar
 crawling around
 in your room
 you are content
 having little effect
on the rest of the world
 you become enamored by gloom
curling yourself in a tight cocoon
 in bed sheets of white
blocking out the rest of the world
  making no sound
 not even a stir
 the changes occurring
 you cannot comprehend
 don't cry, my dearest
 I do not tell lies
 your pain is my plight
I know you will soon revolutionize
into a dazzling winged fairy-like creature
 the butterfly
you will be gorgeous and absolutely remarkable
 I am merely a moth
 drawn to your light
