My pen, my ink, my stuff

Let me sing you a song,

The song of my grandma,
A song that I will sing
And my children after me,
The song of the tigress of the African savannah,
The song of Yuanita – my grandma

I sing of a mother
So warm, caring and loving
A mum who lived so selflessly,
Her children to see live so wonderfully,
I sing of a mother,
Who thru’out the world,
A substitute couldn’t be found.
I sing of my grandma – mother of all mothers.

I sing of a friend,
So cherishing and nourishing,
A friend who helped so generously
Her pals to live so magnificently,
I sing of a friend,
Who on her brittle shoulders
Helped carry the burden of multitudes,
I sing of my grandma – the best of all friends.

I sing of a sister,
So appreciating and thoughtful,
A sibling who so altruistically
Gave her siblings her all,
I sing of a sister,
Who never complaining
Imparted lives a many
I sing of my grandma – a sister unfound.

I sing of a grandma,
So affectionate and fond,
A grandma who so dotingly
Put smiles on our little faces,
I sing of grandma,
Who always cheery and merry
Made our lives anew,
I sing of my grandma – best of them all.

This is my song,
Echoing with the melodious soronous voice of Ko’Ounga,
Filling every breast with high pitched praise of a woman like no other,
This is my song,
Thru’ every clime and every coast
Purging all of mankind to come join in
,
To join in one accord
In unison with men brave and of valor
To sing of more than a woman

This is the song of my grandma,
Pen to paper that
The world may appreciate her
And say a little “Thank You.”
For her life so amazing
An alma mater of one a many
A changer of lives so many
Grandma we love you.
I sing of my grandma – Dani, we will ne’er forget you.

This poem is in memory of my grandma who passed on a fortnight ago.
I recited it during her burial
