Coming Out
He traced my features softly
As he looked me in the eyes
 With just a single kiss
 He took me by surprise

I had known him for a short time
But to him there a spark
 We swayed to soundless music
As we danced around in the dark

 Unafraid of the world around
We walked away from the night
There we stood in plain view
Letting my family see the sight

 They didn't jeer or curse
 But excepted who we were
 I couldn't ask anything more
 Than what had just occurred

 Minus some embarrassing rules
Coming out wasn't all that bad for me
The burdens have been lifted off
 For once, I feel free
