I was lost in your eyes,
Dark brown,
Glistening with delight.

Now all I see is hatred
In those eyes
But I still smile.

I know that in your heart
Deep down
You still feel what I feel

I made a mistake,
I’m sorry.
I know that’s no excuse.

In those brown eyes,
I see what’s inside
Like a window looking into your soul.

Those eyes,
They tell me something.
It’s not over.
