I turned to speak to God about the world's despair; and to make bad matters worse, I found God wasn't there. -Robert Frost

The life of a swan is beautifully ironic.
Depicted as an icon for love but
Truly a symbol of death.
Suicidal without its mate.
The death of a swan’s love is the foreshadow
Of its own farewell. Down goes the swan,
Never to be seen again.
With its act of self murder,
The swan leaves an imprint on society.
Even the happiest of loved end in a lonesome
Death.

I was sitting by a pond and I saw a swan without its mate. It looked so lonely and depressed. Then I put pencil to paper and created this.
