keepin it real behind these lies and deceit,
protecting my heart from this searing heat,
i was hoping, baby, you'd come back for me
all these words are running through my head,
so many tears i have left unshed.
but i fake it, make it less real,
i shut off the fears of unfallen tears,
and leave it all behind.
