What it is worth

You said it isn't worth it
should I even give it a try?
You said don't waste my time
Why? I asked you How is it a waste?
You lie through your teeth to tell me how this could ruin me and my future
When really it is will better my future but destroy yours
I walk away leave you there telling me not to do this
Asking me why am I doing this to you?
I simply reply this not for but for me
It is time for me to be happy
Happy for myself and my goals
