I love him, I love him not
He’s captured my heart
He’s torn it apart
Leaves me gasping for air
Leaves me with this pain to bare
He makes me smile
He turns up the dial

I love him, I love him not
He makes me feel alive
He leaves me to die inside
Tears of joy
Tears of pain
He takes my breath away
Leaving my edges frayed

I love him, I love him not
He makes me see the true me
He makes me hide her underneath
Beautiful man
Monster inside
I want to stay
I want to run and hide

I love him, I love him not
Glistening eyes
A pool of light
A heartless soul
A deep dark hole
I want him forever
But forever comes with never

I love him, I love him not.

Overall I like the story, but I didn't exactly care for the overused statement "He loves me, he loves me not." Don't get me wrong, I'm all for repeating lines in poetry. But when the lines repeat, they really need to pack a punch. (And also show a bit of uniqueness about the author). I still love the poem, I can relate to it, but it's just the one line that bothers me. Thank you for the post!
