The fear i get of being alone
Is a fear i fear so i stay close
my teeth clench, face wrinkles
my eyes tear up when that fear gets near
when i go to sleep i pray to keep you here next to me
but as i sleep through the night my fear over conquers me
i wake up and see that you are here with me
so my fear is now nowhere near

But we are breaking apart our love isn't the same
as we part my fear gets closer and closer
like a black cloud standing over top of me
i look around but your not here
My eyes start tearing, my teeth start clenching
but then i see there's a mirror in front of me
i see me, and who i should be
i look up and start seeing light
as that cloud drifts away i stand proud
i look in the mirror and see the real me
the me that doesn't need anyone around
My fear is not to lose you or to be alone
But my goal is to never lose myself
