Dull and Grey

Rocks fill the
barren wasteland
dull and grey
set in their scrupulous ways
cracked
shrouded by emerald vines
Until the wind comes
and overturns them
carries them
on its sweet
serendipitous
breeze
sets them down
vibrant and dazzling
Until time abrades
their smooth edges
Cracks form
and they all become
dull and grey
