Silence Kills Empty Words

Silence breaks
The heavy dawn air.
Betrayal seeps
Through the cracks,
And silence still
Owns the night.
Gaping lips,
Yet nothing
Escapes.
Anger dwells
In the young hearts.
Seeming to see
What isn’t there.
Madness drives them
Crazy.
Still silence reins.
Begging cries fill
The sky.
But once again
Silence burdens
All those who care
To hear the words.
